First one after summer; a little bit rushed, but at least it’s not been a whole month since JACD46! Hope to catch up next week.
I discovered from Billy the other day that Just A Catholic Dad has been nominated in three categories in this year’s Catholic New Media Awards!! This came through on my iPhone from Billy in the 34 degree Tuscan countryside and made a bright sunny day even sunnier!
The categories are ‘Best New Podcast’, ‘Best Podcast By A Man’ and the ‘People’s Choice Podcast’. To see JACD in there amongst some really exceptional podcasts by some great podcasters is truly humbling, so thank you sincerely to those of you who either nominated or have voted for Just A Catholic Dad.
If you haven’t voted for your favourite podcast, blog or App, please go along to http://www.catholicnewmediaawards.com/ and cast your vote before Friday Aug 26th and be part of this great New Media Event!
Anyway, back to earth now – we’re back from holiday, but I’m not going to get another JACD out for a week or so due to other commitments and sheer lack of time. The podcast will be back as soon as possible with some great feedback (see my previous post) and more of the usual mix of nearly-random thoughts on family, faith and life in general!
Until then – go vote!
Thank you for all the feedback emails you’ve been sending (especially Robert, Joseph, Chess, Zoe and Jenny (whose comment is under JACD 46′s entry below) . I was up bright and early this morning to answer some of them, but my webhost’s new pretty email system doesn’t seem to be behaving itself, so I’m not able to send emails out at the moment. Please bear with me, I’ll try to get back to you, but if I don’t, I’ll read them on the next episode.
Hope you are having a lovely Summer!
Dad and daughter visit the circus and Caitie gets deep and meaningful. More on dressing appropriately (or at all) for Mass and feedback from the Archbishop himself (well, kind of…

We’re off for a few weeks’ break now, so have a lovely Summer and I’ll be back soon.
