Goodbye To A Good Man.

I never knew Trevor Roche professionally, though I am an ex RAF ATCO and current civil ATCO, and we both finished our time at Boscombe; but I knew him from having lived in the same beautiful Wiltshire village for the past ten years, having a shared aviation background and RAF past in an area of the country thoroughly dominated by the Army, and having seen his family grow and live village life in this lovely place. We’ve chewed the breeze over beers in The Silver Plough, house parties various and village carnivals over the years and his company has always been a great pleasure and privilege.

Trevor was a thoroughly genuine, decent, self-effacing man and a loving father and husband who was a shining example of how to live a good life. He was respected and truly liked by all who knew him, as is his lovely wife Katie. He always had time for everybody and his open, genuinely kind personality belied his undoubted professional achievements.

All I know is that Pitton will be a slightly less beautiful place for his absence. I am lucky to have counted him as a friend, and I shall miss him.
