A Krispy Kreme loving fox, another Rosary Crisis and should I move Caitie up a level in her prayer life? Also, a look back at the last episode of Catholic Pilot.

Closing song was beautiful. I usually don’t like most Christian music, but that was awesome!
God bless you and yours!
Hi Margaret! Lovely to hear from you. I’m like you in that a lot of Cjristian music does leave me cold. I sometimes think that some singers/songwriters seem to believe that because it’s a Christian song, it doesn’t actually have to be a good song. I try to play a cross section of different types of music to finish the podcast, not all of it is to my taste, but I try to at least pick songs that I think have merit, even though they may not be my cup of tea (he says with his early morning pint mug of tea on the kitchen table next to him!!).
I like Paul Lisney’s music, I’ve played him before but this particular song I do like very much.
Anyway, thank you for getting in touch, hope you and yours are well.
God Bless
Sean
Enjoyed the episode Sean — did you know that Krispy Kreme is headquartered here in my home state of North Carolina? The company hails from the town of Winston-Salem, where I went to law school. There is a classic old Krispy Kreme store in downtown Raleigh, where I live now, that has recently been updated.
There is a race every year called the Krispy Kreme Challenge that raises money for the local Children’s Hospital.

Hot Now!
Hi Sean! I just found your podcast after hearing you on the SQPN weekend show. I am really enjoying it! You asked for advice on praying the Rosary with Caitie. We have five kiddos (ages 5, 7, 10, 14 and 17). I wasn’t very good about daily prayer with my older ones, but this fall I decided that I was going to start praying the Rosary with the younger ones. I wasn’t sure how it was going to go, but I thought I’d try. It actually has gone much better than I expected! We just do one decade per night using the daily mysteries. Each child has discovered her own favorite set of mysteries and then chooses the one we pray for that night. I’d say, give it a whirl, what do you have to lose? Good luck and thanks for work you do on the podcast!

Don’t tell Caitie what posture you want her to have, just model it for her. As she gets a little bit older, she will be more interested in being a grown up and will imitate what you do. I have a 4 year old girl who is still quite the little girl who loves to be lap held during prayers. I also have a 6 year old girl who is more and more interested in being independent and assuming prayer postures. Sean, it’s coming sooner than you think, no need to push. Definitely start doing the Rosary with her one decade at a time. I will warn you though that when the girls and I started doing the Rosary, they got the giggles at about the third Hail Mary for the first week or so. Caitie probably will too, but don’t fuss about it because it will pass quickly as she gets accustomed to the repetition. All the best, Jenny
