Hello JACD’ers,
I just thought I’d let you know that, at the moment, there’s no ‘Just A Catholic dad’ podcast this week. This weekend was a holiday weekend in the UK, so we decided to have a bit of family time. If I get the chance later this week, I’ll try to put one out, but failing that, the next episode will be recorded next Monday evening.
Have a great week,
God Bless,
Sean.

Good for you Sean! You deserve a week off! BTW, thanks for mentioning “little old me” on Capt. Jeff’s “Catholic Pilot”. I’m honored that you consider me one of your “regulars”!
Quick update: (1) our clan went off on a tangent and did an actual family activity outside of the home . . . . . we went “candlepin” bowling!! Not sure if you have that in the UK. Basically, there are two types of bowling; one with the ball roughly the size of a soccer ball, w/three holes in it for your fingers; the other, the size of a softball or shot-put. with no holes. Our family played the latter . . . .and had an absolute BALL (LITERALLY!!!). Apart from our four year old tossing the ball up in the air (“SLAM!!!” on the hardwood floor!) and not rolling down the alley, it was fun for the whole family!
And (2) my beautiful wife was good enough to me to give me a night out with other “Catholic dads”, to have a night out at the movies to see “The Avengers”!! Awesome, awesome, AWESOME movie!!!! Tops all of the other Marvel movies combined!! Suspenseful, action-packed, funny (and not just Robert Downey Jr. funny, the whole cast had at least one or two bits, even THE HULK!!)
I’ll close for now, talk to you soon Sean!
Peace,
Dan
Hi Dan! Great to hear from you. I think that our version of candlepin bowling is ‘skittles’ – I’ll pop it in the next podcast (hopefully tonight). As for The Avengers, I heard Mac raving about it on the last CST too – sounds like a true boys’ film! Catch you later….
