Hi Guys! On the road again for this episode of JACD, so please excuse the odd edit fumble, the sound being not so good and the general sense of being disorganised! This ep, it’s the Great McCarney Oil Crisis of 2010, seeking refuge in a church, Mary vs the Angels, some more on Ep 23′s subject (OK for kids this time though!), some great feedback including my first MP3 – Yay! Also, a 60 Second Saint from Tom Brodell. Some Catholic News and that’s about it…

Hi Everybody – good of you to join me again in another foray into faith, fatherhood and air traffic control!
In this episode, the cheese slice, ‘On This Day’, how to get on to a runway safely (recorded on location!), Catholic News, Leanne Loves Pink, The Write Of The Mac (there’s a song in there somewhere), missing Mass, Children’s Liturgy?, Catholic Weekend, More on Church Schools & Catholic News. All in 40 minutes!
Background Music may be too loud on runway incursion segment, if so, please forgive and let me know.

Today I was so lucky to have the chance to be a guest on the Catholic Weekend show. It’s the first time I’ve been on someone else’s podcast and added to that the fact that is was an SQPN podcast, and that it was Cap’t Jeff and it was a show as good as CW, I did not want to let anyone down and I was, to put it mildly, a little nervous at about 2:30pm today!
The thing about having your own podcast is that you can listen to the recording and edit out the bad stuff to stop yourself making a complete fool of yourself – I’ve even binned a whole podcast on a couple of occasions because I’ve been unhappy about the content or presentation. When it’s someone else’s podcast, however, you don’t have that level of protection – especially when it’s being Ustreamed! However, Cap’t Jeff was a true gent and made the whole process a lot of fun – including the occasional Skype issue! AND I got to speak with Mac Barron at last!
When we do these podcasts, we know that we’re not professionals, but we want to do as professional a podcast as we can – especially when we’re talking about our Faith. So, I hope that I haven’t made a complete fool of myself or sent the fine Catholic Weekend community to sleep!
So thanks Jeff, and I’d love to come back sometime for another go sometime.
By the way – next Just A Catholic Dad is due for recording this Monday, so if you have any comments or feedback on anything, just send me mail or an MP3 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
God Bless all and Goodnight.

Sorry for the delay! In JustACatholicDad 18; family update, choosing a school and the Domestic Church and spreading my podcasting wings. With some kind comments and feedback from Captain Jeff, Ian Maxfield and Maddie Hall.

See you next week back in the Study-O and sans cold (hopefully).
Thinking about it, that’s a good title for the next JACD…if I can somehow engineer the content to fit! Sorry for no JACD 18 this week, but all my bumpers (and just about everything else) are lost in the cybervoid due to my Network Drive imploding! I’m slowly retrieveng everything, but due to time I’m nor going to get the chance to record this week. School vacation next week is also going to place a spanner in the works, so please bear with me.
In the meantime, if you have any feedback, I would dearly love to read/hear/eat it (prizes to the first who figures out how to do that one!). Please leave a comment here or contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
